KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. — One person was injured when a house fire caused significant damage to a home in Knightstown Sunday evening.
The fire was reported around 6:15 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 500 block of North Jefferson Street, near East Morgan Street. Responding crews found the front of a home "well-involved with fire and heavy smoke conditions," a Knightstown Fire Department spokesperson said in a statement.
The fire was brought under control in a little under 15 minutes.
One civilian was injured, although the extent of those injuries has not been disclosed. No firefighters were hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
