ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — One person suffered minor injuries after a crash involving a Zionsville Community Schools bus Monday afternoon.
The Zionsville Police Department said the crash happened around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of 5th and Oak Street.
Police said the bus was traveling south on 5th street when it was hit by a car traveling east on Oak Street.
The driver of the car was briefly trapped but was freed by crews from the Zionsville Fire Department.
Medics transported the driver of the car to the hospital for check out. No students on the bus were injured.
Police said the bus was taking students home from an elementary school for the day.
