WHITESTOWN, Ind. — One man is dead after a workplace accident in Whitestown Monday afternoon.
Police said they responded to the Waste Management facility, located at 6251 S. Indianapolis Road, around noon Dec. 11 on the report of a traumatic injury.
Officers found 44-year-old Anthony Osby, of Indianapolis, dead inside the facility.
Police said a large stone fell on Osby, killing him instantly. Investigators believe the incident was an accident.
Waste Management officials released the following statement:
"Safety is of utmost importance to the team at Indy Northwest, and the team has worked closely with the responding authorities. Any information related to this incident will be released by the Whitestown Police Department."
