DELAWARE COUNTY, Indiana — One person died and three others were injured in an early morning crash in Delaware County.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash on County Road 419 East and County Road 650 south around 4 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Deputies found a vehicle hit a tree on the southeast corner of the intersection. Two of the occupants were taken by an air ambulance to an Indianapolis hospital, where one later died.
Medics transported the other two occupants to IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Police said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road and hit a tree.
Police said further testing will be done to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
