Philadelphia-AP -- Police say NBA star Allen Iverson won't have to surrender until his lawyer returns from vacation next week.

But until Tuesday, Iverson's under house arrest, ordered to stay in his suburban Philadelphia mansion.

The police chief says Iverson will be arrested if he's seen "on the street or out partying."

Authorities say the 76ers guard and his uncle barged into a cousin's apartment with a gun last week. They say Iverson was searching for his wife, after throwing her out of their house.

He will be charged with criminal trespass, simple assault, terroristic threats and gun offenses. His uncle faces similar charges.

Sixers coach Larry Brown and general manager Billy King say they will support Iverson during the legal process.
