Indianapolis, Nov. 25 - Scott Cooper appeared before a judge in criminal court Monday morning. The judge refused to even give him a bond, so he will stay in jail for now.

Cooper, a former Indianapolis Police Officer, first got into trouble in October of 2000. That's when he was convicted of child exploitation.

Cooper served jail time and eventually got probation.

But prosecutors believe Cooper violated his probation terms during a visit to a southwest Indianapolis library branch. Investigators confiscated one of the hard drives from a terminal at the location.

Here's how Deputy Prosecutor Cynthia Ridgeway outlines Cooper's probation violations. "By being at a library where children congregate, which he is forbidden to do, he is alleged to have downloaded information from the Internet, which he is not allow to do without prior approval. We allege that he, on his Internet access, downloaded pornography."

Cooper will go to back to court December 12th. That's when a judge will rule if there's enough evidence to show he indeed violated his probation.
