FISHERS, Indiana — Parents at Fisher's High School are worried about a different kind of exposure.
An unknown male exposed himself Thursday during an online class while someone else yelled racial slurs.
An upset parent posted about the incident on a school forum. According to the parent: "One of the students exposed (male genitals) ... another student said 'F all the (expletives) multiple times..."
The parent said the phrase was aimed at black students. The mother went on to explain why she decided to share the incident publicly,
"I have raised my daughter to be loving and kind to all people in this world regardless of their racial ethnicity. My heart is broken and honestly it hurts. I'm putting this out there for awareness," she wrote.
Hamilton Southeastern Schools confirmed to 13 Investigates the teacher immediately shut down the zoom call.
In a statement Hamilton Southeastern told 13 Investigates:
"Administrators at Fishers High School were notified of an alleged act of indecent exposure and the use of racially-offensive language. This kind of behavior by anyone does not reflect our values as a district and will not be tolerated."
The Fishers Police Department is now investigating. HSE said the individuals responsible have not been identified and may not be their students.
The district is now looking at ways to ensure more secure learning.
