INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly is partnering with Amazon Pharmacy as part of its LillyDirect program, which allows people to order some of its products, including the weight-loss drug Zepbound, directly online.
In a statement, Amazon said the partnership will "allow patients to receive fast, free delivery of medications and 24/7 access to clinical pharmacists."
Eli Lilly announced LillyDirect in early January, stating it would connect patients suffering from migraines, obesity and diabetes to independent telehealth providers and other disease management resources.
That launch came less than two months after Zepbound received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Zepbound is among the list of powerful GLP-1 agonists approved for obesity treatments, a family of drugs that includes Novo Dordisks’ Ozempic.
