Eyewitness News at 10 on WIPX-TV

Indianapolis, April 12 - WTHR-TV (Channel 13) will begin broadcasting Eyewitness News at 10 p.m. on WIPX-TV, the Indianapolis PAX affiliate, beginning Wednesday, April 13. The 10 p.m. newscast, which currently airs on the SkyTrak Weather Network, will now be accessible on all area cable and satellite systems.

"We've been happy so far with the viewer response to our 10 p.m. newscast on the SkyTrak Weather Network," says WTHR news director Jacques Natz. "Our new arrangement simulcasting the 10 p.m. on both Skytrak and PAX will allow virtually the entire viewing area to see our 10 p.m. product."

Locally, WIPX (PAX) can be seen on Comcast cable channel 17, Bright House channel 6 and all Insight cable systems. It is available on the major satellite providers and can be seen over-the-air on channel 63. Viewers outside Indianapolis should check their local cable and satellite listings.

Eyewitness News at 10 p.m. is anchored by Andrea Morehead and John Stehr. Meteorologist Chris Wright provides the SkyTrak weather forecast and Dave Calabro anchors sports.

Eyewitness News at 10pm will continue to air on the SkyTrak Weather Network with a repeat broadcast at 10:30 p.m.

WTHR had been provided local news at 10 p.m. on WNDY-TV for many years, until LIN television announced it was purchasing the UPN affiliate. LIN also owns WISH-TV, Channel 8.

"WTHR has invested more resources into providing local news than any other central Indiana station," says Natz. "We are glad to again be devoting those resources to producing a 10 p.m. newscast that people want to watch."
