INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Two Chicks and a Hammer crew, from HGTV's Good Bones, helped get a dog adopted from Indianapolis Animal Care Services.
Karen Laine was inspired by a talk at Rolls-Royce as part of the company's community giveback week.
They went to IACS and she took a dog named Rocky out for the day as part of the center's "Freedom for a Day" program. It allows you to take a dog out of the shelter for a day so you can see its true personality.
Well, the ladies took pictures and shared the experience of being out with Rocky and it worked. He was later adopted out.
"We were so moved by it we intend to make it a recurring community service event within our company," Two Chicks and a Hammer Chief Business Officer Kelsy Gray said.
