HBO Max rebooting 'Gossip Girl'

HBO Max has ordered a ten episode reboot of "Gossip Girl."

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — "Gossip Girl" is making a comeback in a reboot of the popular series.

E! News confirmed the ten-episode reboot will take place eight years after the original series ended and follows a new group of Manhattan's elite rich kids.

There's been no word on whether original cast members Blake Lively, Chase Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick will be involved.

Earlier this month, WarnerMedia announced that it will be pulling "Friends" from Netflix to stream exclusively on their new platform, HBO Max.

HBO Max is set to launch in the spring of 2020.
