NOTRE DAME, Ind. (WTHR) - The University of Notre Dame announced Friday that country music hall-of-famer George Strait will perform in Saturday, Aug. 15 at Notre Dame Stadium.
The “Strait to South Bend” concert comes on the heels of three sold-out performances in late January.
Straight will be joined by Chris Stapleton and Brothers Osborne.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m. EST via ticketmaster.com.
Though Strait has retired from traditional touring, he continues to play to sold-out crowds in select cities.
Strait ranks third across all genres - behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley - with 33 platinum- or multi-platinum-selling albums.
Garth Brooks sold out the stadium in October 2018 in the first such concert in the school's history.
Billy Joel is scheduled to appear in June.
