DUBLIN, Calif. (WTHR) — Actress Felicity Huffman was released from federal prison on Friday, NBC News reported.
Huffman served just under two weeks for her role in a massive college admission scandal.
The actress started her 14-day sentence at a Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California on Oct. 15. She will also have to pay a $30,000 fine and perform 250 hours of community service.
The 56-year-old actress was sentenced after she admitted to paying for someone to proctor and correct her daughter's college board test, which increased her daughter's score by 400 points, according to NBC News.
The investigation found that some parents had paid to get their children into elite universities by boosting their college board exam scores or passing them off as top athletes worthy of special admission.
Universities involved in the scheme included Yale, Georgetown, Stanford and USC.
Actress Lori Loughlin has also been charged in the same admission scandal.
