Attendees will have the chance to learn more about artificial intelligence and how it could impact the way children learn in the classroom.

INDIANAPOLIS — Marian University will be hosting a free panel discussion Thursday morning on the future of artificial intelligence and how it will impact education.

Attendees will have the chance to learn more about AI and how it could impact the way children learn in the classroom.

The university said the event will feature several education experts that both parents and teachers can learn from.

"It's an opportunity that allows for teachers to identify methods that they can implore artificial intelligence into their lesson plans, as well as there activities that students could utilize this type of technology," said Joseph Heidt, with Marian University. "Because the technology is there and it's going to be utilized, how can we incorporate that into learning?"

The discussion starts at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 7 in Huntington Family Hall at Marian University. The event is free. You can also register at this link.
