Dave Calabro
Eyewitness Sports Director
Dave Calabro is one of the busiest sportscasters around, currently appearing virtually seven days a week on Channel 13. Dave anchors sports weeknights on Eyewitness News and hosts the popular "13 SportsJam" Sunday Nights at 11:20pm.
Dave's golden voice can be heard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where he has worked as a track announcer since 1985.
An avid racing fan, Calabro "practically grew up at the Speedway" and currently provides some of the most thorough, insightful race coverage found anywhere. Dave's hard work the past several years has paid off with four regional Emmy Awards and being named "Best Sportscaster" by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine readers.
Dave joined Eyewitness News in May of 1992 as weekend sports anchor. Before coming to WTHR, he worked for five years at WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio where he covered Bengals football and Reds baseball as the sports anchor.
Calabro graduated from Ben Davis High School and Butler University. When not working Dave spends time boating and fishing with his wife and two sons.
