INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is conducting a homicide investigation after officers found the remains of a woman in the woods on the near southeast side of Indianapolis Sunday morning.
Just after 10 a.m. on July, 7, IMPD Southeast District officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Keystone Avenue, near Prospect Street, on a report of "possible human remains" in the woods.
When officers arrived, they said they found the remains of a woman. IMPD said this incident has been ruled a homicide.
IMPD homicide detectives and the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency are investigating.
