FRANKFORT, Ind. — The Frankfort Police Department says it has arrested a woman after she allegedly led police on a brief pursuit after being pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving.

According to a social media post from the Frankfort Police Department, shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, Clinton County dispatchers received a call about a reported drunk driver traveling eastbound from 3000 W. State Road 28 west of Frankfort.

A Frankfort police officer found the car around 1700 W. State Road 28 and initiated a traffic stop after watching the driver commit traffic violations.

Police say the vehicle did not pull over when the officer turned on his lights and instead led police on a brief chase. Eventually, the driver did pull the car over near the intersection of East Wabash Street and South Hoke Avenue.

Police arrested a 38-year-old woman from Sharpsville on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, obstruction of justice, possession of a controlled substance and operating while intoxicated while endangering a person.
