TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A Terre Haute woman was arrested for the possession of child pornography.
According to a news release, detectives from the Putnamville State Police Post started a criminal investigation on Monday, Sept. 2 after receiving information that a female was distributing and in possession of child pornography.
After reviewing the information, the Vigo County Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant for the 51-year-old woman.
(13News has a policy to not release the names of suspects until they are formally charged.)
Police said she was arrested without incident and is currently being held in the Vigo County Jail. She now faces 11 counts of possession of child pornography.
The Vigo County Prosecutor's Office and Greencastle Police Department are assisting in the investigation.
