INDIANAPOLIS — A teenager was wounded in a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened shortly after 6 p.m. in the 4900 block of Hawthorn Terrace, in the area of Binford Boulevard and East 62nd Street. Officers responded to a report of a person shot at that location and found the teenage victim.
The teenager was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police said the victim's condition was stable.
No other information about a possible suspect or motive in the shooting has been released.
The investigation is ongoing, but police say there is no known threat to the public.
