INDIANAPOLIS — A 17-year-old and 20-year-old were both arrested for their alleged roles in an armed robbery that ended with a man shot early Tuesday morning on Indy's near north side.

Around 12:45 a.m. July 2, IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 1600 block of North College Avenue, just south of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man who had been shot and took him to the hospital in stable condition.

While investigators were still at the scene, witnesses helped describe the suspects who were responsible for the shooting. Shortly after, the suspects were found in a nearby apartment building and taken into custody.

Police found a handgun and several baggies of narcotics from the suspects.

(NOTE: 13News does not name suspects in cases until formal charges are filed by prosecutors.)
