MUNCIE, Ind. — A 16-year-old was arrested in Muncie for the attempted murder of his own teenage sister Monday.
Muncie Police Department officers responded to the 1800 block of East 17th Street on a report of the shooting and found the 18-year-old teen victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
No condition was shared of the victim.
Officials say the shooting occurred inside the home and the victim was not the intended target.
The 16-year-old brother was arrested for attempted murder, dangerous possession of a firearm and criminal recklessness.
The 40-year-old mother of both involved was arrested for neglect of a dependent, dangerous control of a child and obstruction of justice.
