GREENWOOD, Ind. — A teacher at Center Grove High School has resigned after Child Protective Services was notified of an inappropriate relationship between the teacher and a student.
According to a release from William K. Long, interim superintendent for Center Grove Community School Corporation, on Feb. 21, Center Grove Schools received a report from CPS regarding an alleged relationship between a teacher and student.
The Center Grove Police Department was notified and immediately escorted the teacher from the building. The teacher then resigned after being placed on administrative leave.
Center Grove says that since the investigation is ongoing, they are unable to provide further details at this time. The school district says that they take all reports like this seriously and encourage anyone with safety concerns to report their concerns to an administrator, CGPD or through the district's anonymous Safe Schools reporting system.
