St. Elmo Steak House says stolen fox was returned via Uber

Two men stole the taxidermy fox named Winston, from St. Elmo Steak House. There was a tasty reward for information leading to his return.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — He came back in an Uber. Alone.

St. Elmo Steak House has been trying to track down a stolen taxidermy fox named Winston.

We're told he rode back to the business in an Uber, but there was no word on who put him there.

They're just happy to have him home.

Last Friday, two men entered the 1933 Lounge. At some point they grabbed poor Winston and took him over to the door.

When the coast was clear, they walked off with the dapper fox.

St. Elmo had shared video and still images of the suspects on its twitter page.

The Steak House offered a $250 gift card for information leading to the safe return of its beloved friend.

Others got in on it as well, including IMS President Doug Boles, who offered 4 premium tickets to the Brickyard 400.

St. Elmo's had said if the perpetrators brought him back unharmed, there would be no hard feelings and even offered to celebrate his return with a round of drinks on the house.
