Southeast Indianapolis shooting leaves 2 wounded

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating a double shooting that happened late Monday night on Indianapolis' near southeast side.

An IMPD spokesperson said officers were called to a report of a shooting just before midnight in the 2100 block of Wagner Lane, near Raymond Street and Sherman Drive. When officers arrived, they found two people with apparent gunshot wounds.

Both persons were said to be "awake and breathing" at the scene.

Police haven't shared whether they have identified a suspect in the shootings, nor whether a motive has been determined.
