INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting Wednesday just east of downtown Indianapolis.
The incident was reported around 11:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Washington Street, which is just east of Interstate 65.
Police didn't immediately share many details, but an IMPD spokesperson said officers called to investigate a report of a shooting discovered a person with an apparent gunshot wound.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
