INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Wednesday night on the near east side of downtown Indianapolis.
Around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 6, IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 1200 block of East Washington Street, just east of Interstate 65.
When police arrived on scene, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot. Medics responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Airron Lemont Green, and will determine the exact cause and manner of his death.
Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
