Shelby County woman arrested for shoplifting, OWI, with 3-year-old daughter in car

A Waldron woman is in jail accused of stealing and driving under the influence with her daughter in the car.

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) - A Waldron woman is in jail accused of stealing and driving under the influence with her daughter in the car.

According to our partners at the Shelbyville News, workers at the Shelbyville Dollar General store say they caught 31-year-old Danielle Hensley shoplifting. The say when they confronted her, Hensley caused a scene, took her three-year-old daughter to the car, and then came back inside the store to yell some more.

Police stopped her nearby and say she had slow speech, poor balance, and failed several sobriety tests. Police say she told them she was a former addict, but is now clean.

She was arrested on several charges, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while intoxicated - endangerment, and theft.
