ROSSVILLE, Indiana — A two-month investigation that started as a runaway case has led to the arrest of a Rossville man on a child pornography charge.
Hayden Anderson, 21, was arrested Thursday.
Detectives searched the suspect’s phone in June and were able to obtain a warrant from the Clinton County Prosecutor that led to Hayden's arrest.
Clinton County detectives utilized the high tech crime unit - a combined team of specialized investigators from West Lafayette Police, Lafayette Police, Purdue and the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office.
The high tech crime unit is one of three in the nation, according to Clinton County Sheriff Rich Kelly, who praised the detectives' work in the Anderson case. "Detectives take on lengthy casework and spend hours pursuing leads and sifting through evidence to find the probable cause necessary to prosecute suspects.”
Anderson did not have a court date scheduled as of Friday morning.
