DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. — A woman is dead after a hit-and-run in Delaware County, and police are asking for the public's help to find the suspect.
The hit-and-run happened in the 6400 block of East Jackson Street, near County Road 400 East, in Muncie around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.
The Delaware County Sheriff's Office said a woman tried to cross East Jackson Street was hit by a vehicle going westbound. The woman, who hasn't yet been identified, later died from her injuries.
Police said the vehicle involved drove from the scene and went westbound on Jackson Street.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a 2007-2014 Chevrolet Silverado. Police said the suspect vehicle should also have passenger side damage to the side-view mirror and headlight assembly, with possibly more damage.
