INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting near downtown Indianapolis Tuesday.
According to an IMPD spokesperson, officers investigating a report of a shooting around 9 p.m. on West Vermont Street at North White River Parkway West Drive found a person who had an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police didn't immediately offer any other details.
IMPD said early Wednesday morning that detectives believe this was a self-inflicted wound.
