NOEL, Mo. (WTHR) - Police in Missouri have located the children of a woman found dead on a highway last month.
Police found the body of a woman along Highway 59 in southern Missouri in July, lying next to an open suitcase. Investigators tentatively identified the victim Thursday as Jessica McCormack, but said her three young children were missing.
Family members told police McCormack and her children, 4-year-old Siah Casillas, 1-year-old Saidah Noor and infant Intisar Mahamed were last seen July 3. Police later found the children in Iowa.
Police said in the month since the woman and children had been seen, no one notified authorities that they were missing.
Investigators are still working to formally identify the woman as McCormack through DNA samples and dental records.
