Police find meth, $3K in cash in Monroe County drug busts

MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — The Monroe County Sheriff's Department arrested a suspect early Wednesday morning after finding drugs, cash and paraphernalia in a car in Bloomington.

The department posted on Facebook about a traffic stop around 2:45 a.m. Someone inside the car had an active arrest warrant, so a deputy did a search of the vehicle.

During the search, Deputy Tyler Reynolds found 238 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, $2,933 in cash and paraphernalia.

The person was booked into the Monroe County Jail.
