Orleans, Ind. (WTHR) - A man wanted in Lawrence County was arrested Wednesday night in Gibson County but not before leading police on a long chase.
Brandon Pool, 29, of Orleans was spotted in Oakland City by an Indiana State trooper. Pool was driving a white 2003 Ford F150 pickup truck that matched the description of a stolen vehicle reported earlier in Warrick County. The truck's owner also told police he had left a rifle in the truck when it was stolen.
In addition to driving the stolen truck, Pool had three outstanding arrest warrants in Lawrence County.
When the trooper attempted to stop the truck, Pool sped away, leading police out of Oakland City before getting stuck in a corn field off Gibson County 150 South.
Pool was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on bond and faces new charges:
- Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle - Class 6 Felony
- Theft of a Firearm - Class 6 Felony
- Reckless Driving - Class B Misdemeanor
- Auto Theft - Class 6 Felony
