Police arrest violent serial robber

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indianapolis Metro Police have arrested a man for a string of violent robberies.

Jerry L. Davis, 49, is facing robbery, strangulation, battery, battery resulting in bodily injury, and corrupt business influence charges.

Davis is accused of nine robberies in 12 days in November:

  1. Nov. 8 - 2201 E. Broad Ripple Ave - 21st Amendment Liquors
  2. Nov. 11 - 2080 N. Shadeland Ave. - Circle K
  3. Nov. 11 - 7050 E. 21st St. - Subway
  4. Nov. 12 - 7103 N. Keystone Ave. - Speedway
  5. Nov. 13 - 5016 E. 62nd St. - A Taste of Indiana
  6. Nov. 18 - 5990 E. 71st St. - Speedway
  7. Nov. 18 - 2808 Westlane Rd. - Dollar General
  8. Nov. 20 - 4830 W. 38th St. - Speedway
  9. Nov. 20 - 2490 Post Dr. - Denny’s

At the time of Davis’ arrest he had a parole violation warrant for a previous robbery conviction. Davis was released from prison in February of 2019 and had been convicted of robbery on several other occasions.
