ANDERSON, Ind. — Police in Anderson are investigating after a person was killed in a shooting Monday evening.
The shooting was reported around 9:30 p.m. July 8 in the 900 block of Meridian Street, near West 9th Street in downtown Anderson.
Responding officers located 43-year-old Michael Piercy who was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
"Initial reports indicate that an altercation involving two individuals resulted in the shooting," an Anderson Police Department spokesperson said in a statement. "All parties involved have been identified, and their identities are being withheld at this time."
No arrests have been made yet.
