INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a person was injured in a shooting on Indianapolis' near east side early Thursday.
Just after 1 a.m. Dec. 28, IMPD officers responded to the 2500 block of Brookway Street, north of Brookside Park, near Massachusetts Avenue and North Rural Street, for a report of a person shot.
Officers located a male victim who was described by police as "stable" when taken to a local hospital.
No other information on the circumstances of the shooting, including any suspect information, was immediately available.
