32-year-old man at picnic killed in shooting on Indy's northwest side

The shooting happened in the 6800 block of Shore Terrace, near West 38th Street and Interstate 465, around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Friday night on the city's northwest side.

Police responded to a report of person shot in the 6800 block of Shore Terrace, near West 38th Street and Interstate 465, around 8:30 p.m. Aug. 9.

Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 32-year-old Saad Dine Riha.

Witnesses told 13News that Riha was at a picnic when someone walked up to him and shot him.

Police do not have additional information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
