INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in downtown Indianapolis Friday night.
IMPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Washington Street, near Delaware Street, on a report of a person shot shortly after 10 p.m. on Jan. 5. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but later died from their injuries.
The Marion County Coroner's Office will identify the victim once family is notified.
Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
