ROCHESTER, Ind. — A northern Indiana man was arrested after police say a gun discharged while he was at a high school wrestling match.
According to a social media post from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, during the March 2 wrestling invitational at Rochester Community High School, a school resource officer was in attendance when he was informed of a "loud noise" from the stands.
After investigating, the school resource officer arrested a 44-year-old Bremen man after he was found carrying two loaded handguns inside his backpack.

Police say one of the handguns in the man's backpack had a spent round still inside. Further investigation revealed the man was also in possession of narcotics, marijuana and a knife.
He was taken to the Fulton County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of a firearm on school property, criminal recklessness with a firearm, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of a knife on school property.
