INDIANAPOLIS — Wednesday night into Thursday morning, investigators were gathering evidence in a mobile home community after a deadly triple shooting.
Ryan Adams said one of the shootings happened right in front of his home.
"It's a tragic situation that transpired last night," said Adams.
Adams said when he went outside to see what happened, one of the juveniles who was shot came up to him.
"He had been shot in his hand. He messed his hand up pretty badly. He came up to me and was like, 'Hey, my friend had been shot in the head' and I was like, 'What? What's going on?' I was starstruck at that point," recalled Adams.
Just a few lots down is where police found a car smashed into a mobile home.
Police say they found 20-year-old Ian Kenneth Le Quinn Neberz dead with multiple gunshot wounds. Then, around the corner on Crandon Drive, IMPD says officers were flagged down by another juvenile who had been shot.
Paula Barry said the shooting happened next to her home.
"I just so happens that I asked what was going on over there and he said his friend got shot and that they were shooting at him. And he came back over here looking for his phone or whatever he threw in my yard," said Barry.
Barry said his friend ran into the yard before collapsing in the middle of the street.
"I felt sorry for him. I actually said a prayer for him. Even though whether he did something bad or not, I still felt for sorry him," Barry said.
