MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) — A mother, who drove drunk and got in a crash killing her daughter, has been sentenced to more than 41 years.
Jessica Skeens was facing a series of charges including neglect of a dependent resulting in death.
It was two years ago when police say Skeens rolled her van into a ditch with her four kids and her boyfriend inside. Skeens' six-year-old daughter Taelyn Woodson died in the crash.
Skeens' boyfriend Nathaniel Jordan is set to go on trial in January. Police say he punched Skeens in the head, contributing to the crash.
