INDIANAPOLIS — In the week leading up to Chennelle Martin's baby shower, her mom, Michelle Wilson, was buying all the last-minute decorations.
"Every time she said something, she didn't know I was clicking the button ordering stuff," Wilson said.
Wilson said those packages never arrived. It wasn't until Friday, Oct. 18 after she spent hundreds of dollars on replacements when she decided to check her security cameras.
Martin lives near Georgetown Road and West 56th Street on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
"When I got home from work, there was nothing on my porch," Wilson said. "I thought 'oh this is me' where my flower are at, and I looked at it and said, 'I've been violated.' Someone came and stole my packages."
In the security footage, you can see the person come out of a black car, run up to the front porch, take her packages, then drive away. 13News blurred the person's face because there have been no official arrests.
Just five miles north of Wilson's house, near Michigan and Westlane roads, a 13News viewer sent us security footage from an apartment complex Saturday, Oct. 19. They say a person came by and stole several packages. In both videos, the person is wearing the same outfit.
13News showed Martin and Wilson that video.
"I know that's him because of the same shoes and because of the hair and clothes," Martin said.
"That right there is just as worse as mine. They do not care about the cameras, it's just, catch me if you can," Wilson said.
Both said they are frustrated they aren't the only ones.
"It's sad to know that we were violated, they were violated and we are all going through that here," Martin said.
Now, they want the person to come forward.
"I know they are young-minded, but they just need to be mindful because if it was something they wanted, their parents needed, like how would they feel if it was taken from them?" Martin said.
