MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — A Martinsville man who owned a security company is facing six counts of possession of child pornography.
Since the Morgan County Prosecutor's Office filed formal charges against 42-year-old Adam Anderson on July 1, the prosecutor's office said it has received multiple calls from the public with concerns relating to his arrest since he is the owner of Anderson Video Security and Alarm LLC.
According to a Google search, the business is now permanently closed.
Detectives started what would be a nine-month investigation in October 2023 after receiving a cybertip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of a video showing a girl, believed to be under 12 years old, who wasn't wearing pants.
In January 2024, ISP said detectives served search warrants at Anderson's home, where they seized Anderson's cellphone. Forensic examiners of ISP's Digital Forensics Unit then conducted examinations on the cellphone, which uncovered five photos of girls, believed to be under 12 years old, who weren't wearing pants or underwear.
According to court documents, investigators determined Anderson's cellphone camera took the photos from the desktop that Anderson said only he used.
Indiana State Police is still conducting its investigation into Anderson. Anyone who is a current client of Anderson Video Security and Alarm LLC and has questions or concerns regarding the criminal investigation is asked to contact Detective Kent Rohlfing at 812-837-3243.
ISP said once its investigation is complete, prosecutors plan to file additional charges against Anderson.
Anderson's initial hearing is scheduled for Friday, July 19 at 8:30 a.m.
