MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — After a nine-month investigation, detectives from the Indiana State Police Bloomington Post arrested a Martinsville man on Tuesday, July 2 for possession of child pornography.

Detectives started the investigation after receiving a cybertip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in October 2023, according to a news release.

In January 2024, ISP said officers served search warrants at the suspect's home in Anderson, Indiana.

During the search of the home, police said they seized "digital devices." Forensic examiners of ISP's Digital Forensics Unit then conducted examinations on the devices. ISP said evidence of child pornography was found on a seized cell phone.

The suspect was arrested on five counts of possession of child pornography.
