LOUISVILLE, Ky. —  A Seymour businessman is facing multiple battery charges after a series of alleged incidents with employees spanning four years.

Marc Gebhart, 67, was arrested Monday by Indiana State Police.

Police said their investigation began in February after a former employee of the Vat & Barrel Restaurant in Seymour came forward with allegations of being touched inappropriately at a separate location in 2023 by Gebhart, who is a co-owner.

Investigators also stated receiving more information from other former employees that they had also been inappropriately touched by Gebhart from the time Vat & Barrel opened in 2020 to the time reports were made to police.

ISP said the investigation was sent to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office resulting in an arrest warrant issued for Gebhart on seven misdemeanor counts of battery.

Gebhart is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail awaiting arraignment.
