MARION, Ind. — Marion police are asking for the public's help identifying a car involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist Monday.

Around 7:30 a.m. Jan. 8, the bicyclist, later identified as 76-year-old Norman D. Forbes, of Marion, was struck from behind while traveling south in the 500 block of South Butler Avenue, crossing a bridge. That's near West 4th Street and South Baldwin Avenue.

The car that struck Forbes was not there when first responders arrived, and Forbes was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Jan. 11, the Marion Police Department asked for the public's help locating a vehicle of interest, which it describes as an S10 pickup truck of unknown color that will have front-end damage.
