AVON, Ind. — Police are investigating a shooting that wounded one person in Avon.
Deputies with the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a person shot on Fairmount Court shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday. The officers arrived to find a 22-year-old man who had apparently been shot.
The victim was taken to IU West Hospital, though his condition is not known at this time.
Police said the incident appeared to be isolated and there is not believed to be a threat to the public.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
