Man shot after alleged drug deal in Noblesville

Noblesville police said the suspects in the shooting fled the scene in a vehicle.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — The Noblesville Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at an apartment complex south of State Road 38 Sunday afternoon.

According to the Noblesville Police Department, officers responded to the 17400 block of Ferris Street, near Pleasant Street and Union Chapel Road, in the afternoon of June 9 on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found an adult male who had been shot. 

Police said the man was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police believe the incident stemmed from a possible drug deal and the suspects in the shooting fled the scene in a vehicle. So far, officers have not been able to locate the suspect vehicle. The man who was shot reportedly refused to cooperate with police.
