NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — The man charged with murder for his alleged role in the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old man in Noblesville in April 2023 has accepted a plea deal.
Ruai Pal pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Eight other charges were dismissed, including murder, burglary with a deadly weapon, armed robbery and intimidation.
On April 6, 2023, then-22-year-old Pal and Grayson Rhue allegedly tried to rob a house in the 21500 block of Raccoon Court with a gun by faking a DoorDash delivery.
Investigators believe Rhue came to the home and rang the doorbell. There was a brief conversation and then Rhue walked away. The people in the home claim Rhue returned a short time later, came into the home and pointed a gun at them.
One of the people in the home then drew their own gun and fired at Rhue, according to police. Rhue tried to run away, but he collapsed in the driveway and died. The Noblesville Police Department claims a gun was found near Rhue's body.
Pal was arrested in Tennessee on April 20, 2023.
