SPENCER COUNTY, Ind. — A 28-year-old man was arrested following a shooting at a bar that left one person in critical condition.
According to Indiana State Police, just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, police responded to The Chateau, located at 6980 East State Road 62 in Mariah Hill, Indiana, near North County Road 700 East and East County Road 2000 North, after an argument ended in someone getting shot.
ISP said preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect and three men had a verbal argument inside The Chateau, then the suspect and one of the men walked outside of the bar.
Police said a physical confrontation started between the two and the victim was shot. The suspect walked back inside the bar and allegedly pointed the gun at two other men who were inside.

ISP noted that everyone stayed on scene until officers arrived.
The victim was taken to Owensboro Regional Health Hospital in Kentucky, where he is being treated for gunshot injuries.
The suspect is currently being held on bond in the Spencer County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges for aggravated battery with deadly weapon, pointing a gun, criminal recklessness and driving while suspended prior.
