LAWRENCE, Indiana — A man is in critical condition following a shooting near a restaurant in Lawrence Sunday evening.
According to a Lawrence Police Department spokesperson, around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, an LPD officer was patrolling the area of Pendleton Pike and North Post Road when they heard shots being fired.
The officer arrived at Don Marco's Restaurant, located at 4779 North Post Road, and found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the man is currently in critical condition at an area hospital.
LPD says they have a suspect in custody, but do not have any further information to release. IMPD assisted LPD with the incident.
At this time, police have not said whether or not the shooting happened at the restaurant or outside the restaurant.
